The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) Scholarship Program
Announces Its 2023 Application Cycle
Los Angeles, CA, April 7, 2023 - Undergraduate and graduate students can now apply for the LAGRANT Foundation’s 2023 Scholarship Program, as the foundation plans to award 50 scholarships to students pursuing degrees in advertising, marketing, or public relations.
The LAGRANT Foundation Scholarship Program was established in 1998 to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations. This year, the foundation will award thirty undergraduate students $2,500 each, and twenty graduate students will receive scholarships of $3,750 each.
To be eligible for the scholarship program, applicants must:
● Be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native.
● Be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
● Be enrolled full-time in a marketing, public relations, or advertising program at an accredited four-year institution in the United States.
● Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
● Be available to participate in scholarship activities in New York City from June 1-4, the summer the scholarship is awarded.
● Make a one-year commitment to remain in touch with the foundation in order to receive professional guidance and academic support.
Scholarship recipients will be invited to participate in a career-building trip to New York City from June 1, 2023, to June 4, 2023. There, students will participate in activities such as a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, three-day-long career-development workshops, and a scholarship and donor recognition reception. Recipients will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and gain exposure to the advertising, marketing and public relations world.
Applications for the scholarship program can be found on The LAGRANT Foundation's website at https://www.lagrantfoundation.org/about-our-scholarships/. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. PT on May 26, 2023.
